D.J. Technic was born on June 3rd 1977 in North Carolina. At the age of seven, D.J. Technic moved to New York City and currently lives in "The Bronx." Technic always had a passion and love for music and by the age of thirteen, he started to deejay with a reggae sound named Sequences. The more Technic became involved with music, he started watching the DMC D.J. battle video and that was the first time he had ever seen a D.J. performing tricks such as scratching, beat juggling and transforming. From that time on, he realized that deejaying was what he really wanted to do.
Entering high school, all he could concentrate on was hitting the turntables and practicing with his good friend, Steven. Steven was just beginning to rap and he wanted Technic to be his DJ. One evening in the summer of "94, Steven had a meeting with Scorpio from the Furious Five. Scorpio was one of the hosts on a radio show called, " Mic Check Show' on Sunday nights from 9 to 10 p.m on WQHT, now known as "Hot 97' in New York. Steven then introduced Technic to Scorpio and Technic handed Scorpio his latest mix tape. The next day Scorpio invited Technic to WQHT. The following week, Scorpio wanted to see how Technic would perform on live radio. Technic was very excited just to be there with the legendary Furious Five (Melle Mel, Rahim, Kid Creole and Scorpio) because of their history in hip-hop.

Before he even had a chance to think about it, Technic was seventeen years old and deejaying on the hottest radio station in the country. This lasted for about six months and it was one of the greatest experiences in radio broadcasting and live on-air mixing that Technic had experienced.
Afterwards, the radio show was cancelled. However Technic moved up to deejaying in some of the most popular clubs in New York City, such as China Club, Limelight, Carbon, Supper Club, The Tunnel, Webster Hall, Club Vinyl, Latin Quarter, Wetlands, Speed, and Impulse. Nice and Smooth performed at Club Tramps one night and Technic met with their deejay, who was seeking someone to open up for an up-and-coming hip hop group named, "Dirty Face Angels." Technic then became their deejay and toured extensively with that group in cities, such as Miami, Florida, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Hartford, Connecticut, West Virgina, Virginia, Atlanta, Georgia, South Carolina, Nagoya, Japan and many other cities. As time went on, Technic didn't want to just play other people's music because he wanted to create his own music. It was then at the beginning of 1997 when Technic started producing beats. Because D.J. Technic had previous experience in deejaying at various clubs in the TriState Region, he was familiar with the market and knew what the audience wanted to hear and dance to. In 1998, Technic produced his first single for an independent company named, "2 Step Entertainment." Even a music video for this single was shot, but eventually it slowed down.Through all the success and struggles, Technic has learned many valuable experiences.Currently, Technic releases two new mix tapes for the streets every month with the latest and old school reggae as well as new and old school hip hop and R&B.
His mix tapes are found in retail stores throughout the US, Europe, and even as far as Japan. With every new mix tape, all that the listeners have to do is to let it play and enjoy it as if they were in a nightclub. This is why Technic dares to be different from every other deejay out there. With only six months he has proven that the industry and people out on the streets are feeling his mix tapes because in January 16, 2004 he was nominated for three different awards at the 8th Annual Justo's Mix Tape Awards. On september 16 he was asked to a special guest dj on B.E.T.'S Rap city's THE BASEMENT with big tigger. Shortly after that everybody from club promoter's to manager's to artist where trying to get in touch wit him so they can work together. On March 9th 2005 he had the same nomintions as the last year. As the eye can see the sky is the limit for DJ TECHNIC
